Story
CapaCare is a medical humanitarian organisation working to build capacity and training in areas lacking health workers.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, we have developed a Post Graduate Surgical Training Programme for medical doctors and community health officers, which aims to increase the number of surgically skilled staff in district hospitals. The goal is to train 30 officers to a level where they can handle the most common surgical and obstetric emergencies which, without treatment, would lead to disability and death.
